About Us
We are a fun-loving, adventurous couple who love to travel and look forward to exploring the world with a child. We met in college and dated through graduate school. We both believe in education and will work hard to make sure that our child gets the best education we can offer. We have incredible support from our family and friends who are eager to love new members of the tribe. We can’t wait to welcome a new member into our cozy, warm home, filled with laugher and surrounded by lots of future playmates.
Yasmine
Yasmine is first generation American. She was born in NYC to Haitian immigrants who adhered to the 3 l's (l'eglise, lakaye, l'ecole). Growing up, Yasmine enjoyed playing basketball and swimming, and spending time with friends. Weekends were spent with cousins, aunts, uncles, and church. She went to college where she found a new sport–tae kwon do. It is there she met Corey.
Corey
Corey was born in Massachusetts to a large extended family—26 first cousins! Growing up, he also loved playing basketball, tae kwon do, and reading. Corey spent summers fishing with his grandparents and cousins. He played competitive sports in high school until he went to college and met Yasmine in tae kwon do class. They became friends first, and one day Corey asked Yasmine out. They've been together ever since.
